Service – To provide financial support for local and international service projects as well as serve as volunteers for Zonta projects or other community organization’s projects to support women.
Yearly, in conjunction with the Finance Committee, study and determine to which projects/organizations (e.g., Aid to Inmate Mothers Storybook and Transition programs, Zonta International funds, Women for Women International, MACOA) the Club will make financial contributions and in what amount (Due for Annual Plan).
As needed, develop mechanism to help fund these efforts (in coordination with Finance Committee) such as seeking corporate sponsorship, grants, bequests, and individual contributions (Due for Annual Plan).
Yearly, identify one or more volunteer opportunities for Zonta members to participate with other community organizations (e.g., Joy to Life) to support women’s issues (Due for Annual Plan).
Evaluate effectiveness of service projects and make recommendations for the following business year (Due by May 31).
Finance - To hold annual fund raiser(s) to financially support our local and international service projects and to ensure the continued operation of our Club.
Yearly, study the status of Club’s funding reserves and decide if any reserves may be spent during the new business year and/or if projects should be initiated to build the reserves (Complete prior to submission of budget request).

Membership - To recruit new members and retain/rejuvenate current members through activities which strengthen the Club.
Yearly, plan a recruitment event to inform prospective members about Zonta and explain the benefits/responsibilities of membership (Due in Annual Plan).
Yearly, set a goal for increased membership for the business year (Due for Annual Plan).
Enhance new member retention through mentor support and accountability.
Annually, take steps to be taken to build/support the mentor program (Due for Annual Plan).
Evaluate and make recommendations for mentoring program for the next business year (Due by May 31).
Identify activities to enhance retention of existing members by promoting fellowship (Due in Annual Plan).
Evaluate the status of membership and make recommendations for the next business year (Due by May 31).
Public Relations/Communications/United Nations/Archives - To enhance member communications, publicize the existence and activities of the Club, and undertake a major archiving effort.
Throughout the year, keep informed of local, district, and Zonta International activities and disseminate information to club members and (when relevant) to the local community (On-going).
Yearly, develop/implement marketing strategies (through newsletters, media, electronic messaging, etc.) to promote knowledge and understanding about Zonta within and outside of the Club (Due for Annual Plan).
Throughout the year, keep members/other stakeholders informed on ZI’s work with the UN and its affiliates regarding issues relevant to women (On-going).
Yearly, evaluate communications/public relations activities and make recommendations for the following year (Due by May 31).
Following the close of the business year, review retained information according to the Club’s archiving procedures (Due by June 30).
Legislative Awareness/Advocacy - To educate Club members and promote advocacy regarding issues that arise in the community, the state, the nation, and internationally that relate to improving the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women (On-going with special emphasis during sessions of the state legislature).
Become informed about issues from various sources, including the Zonta International UN Committee and pass that information on to club members (on-going).
Identify and promote service projects (in coordination with Service Committee) that promote advocacy through service (Due with Annual Plan).
Yearly, evaluate activities of the Committee and make recommendations for the next business year (Due by May 31).
Long Range Planning - To implement, revise as necessary, and continuously assess progress on the 5-Year Plan for the Zonta Club of Montgomery.
Continuously monitor progress toward achieving Club goals (On-going).
Assess progress twice per year and report to the general membership (January and May).
Each year, prior to the installation of new officers/board, the 5-Year Plan will be reviewed for any needed revisions based on experience and/or circumstances (Due by May 1)
